Shade structures fail here for predictable reasons, and every one is a specification decision made earlier:

UV degradation. Fabric not rated for this level of exposure fades, weakens and tears within a couple of seasons. Fabric selection is the single biggest determinant of service life.

Wind loading. Shamal winds impose real structural loads. A shade sized only for its own weight becomes a hazard. Structure, fixings and foundations have to be designed for wind uplift.

Foundation and fixing. Cantilever structures apply substantial overturning moment. Foundations sized correctly are the difference between a permanent installation and one that loosens over time.

Corrosion. Coastal humidity and salt attack untreated steel. Frames must be galvanised or properly coated, with stainless fixings near the water.

Heat handling. Every component is cycling through a wide daily temperature range. Fittings that allow for movement last; rigid ones fatigue.

  • How long do the fabrics last in Qatar?

    It depends entirely on fabric grade and exposure. Ask us what we are proposing and why — the cheapest fabric is almost never the cheapest over five years.

  • Can shades be removed seasonally?

    Retractable and removable configurations are available where you want winter sun.

  • Do you install for commercial sites and public spaces?

    Yes — parks, commercial car parks, schools and hospitality terraces as well as villas.

  • Can you match a specific colour or brand scheme?
