Fixed frame screens. Simple, robust, cost-effective. Best for windows that open outward or that are rarely accessed.
Sliding screens. Run alongside sliding windows and patio doors on their own track. The standard solution for large openings.
Retractable screens. Roll away into a cassette when not in use, so the screen is invisible for most of the year. Ideal where appearance matters or where the opening is used daily.
Pleated screens. Fold horizontally, suitable for very wide openings and awkward geometry.
Hinged door screens. For entrance and courtyard doors in regular use.
Magnetic and removable screens. Easy seasonal removal and cleaning.
Retrofitting screens to windows already installed is always more expensive and rarely as neat. Tracks have to be added, frames adapted, and the result seldom matches the original as well as a coordinated installation would.
If you are installing UPVC or aluminium windows, specify the screens at the same time. The cost difference is small and the result is considerably better.

Slightly — standard mesh reduces it a little, and fine dust mesh a little more. In exchange you can leave openings unattended.
Yes. Every screen is fabricated to the surveyed opening rather than supplied in stock sizes.
