Site extension works involve excavating and preparing ground adjacent to existing development — which means working alongside live structures and, frequently, live services.
The controlling risks are service strikes and undermining existing foundations. Both are avoided by locating services before breaking ground and by understanding the existing foundation depth before excavating beside it.
This was the first of two contracts Brouj Doha delivered for QBC.

- Locating live services before breaking ground
- Compaction in specified lifts with testing at each stage
- Avoiding undermining adjacent existing foundations
- Excavating to the level the following trade actually needs
- Disposal and reuse of excavated material
What We Did
Brouj Doha delivered excavation and earthworks on this project, under a single contract with one site team accountable for the whole scope. Works were carried out to Qatar Construction Specifications, with engineering and QA/QC sign-off at each milestone before the following stage began.
