Why We Survey Before We Price
A quote produced from drawings alone is a guess dressed as a commitment. Ground conditions, access, existing services and the actual state of an existing building all change the cost — and all of them are visible on site and invisible on paper.
We survey first. It means our quote takes a little longer, and it means the figure we give you is the figure you pay.
What to Send Us
The more of this you have, the faster and more accurate our response.
- Drawings — architectural, structural or MEP, at any stage
- Location — district and plot, so we can visit
- Scope — what you want done, in your own words
- Programme — any fixed dates you are working to
- Budget range — if you have one, it helps us propose the right specification
If you have none of that yet, that is fine too. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will help you work out what the project actually needs.
After You Send It
What Happens Next
1. We acknowledge it
We confirm we have everything we need, and tell you if anything is missing.
2. We visit the site
At a time that suits you. This is the step most contractors skip.
3. You get a real quotation
Scope, programme and exclusions set out clearly — not one lump sum with no breakdown.
4. We adjust it with you
We answer questions and change the scope before anything is signed.
